Abstract:
I will give a broad survey of the recent progress on counting integer points in polytopes of bounded dimension. I will emphasize both computational complexity aspects and applications which range from graph enumeration to Kronecker coefficients. The talk is aimed at a general audience.
Everyone is invited to attend. The language of the lecture is English. The event is aimed at master and graduate students, as well as researchers in the field of combinatorics.
