Igor Pak "Counting integer points in polytopes"
Igor Pak from University of California, Los Angeles gave the talk "Counting integer points in polytopes" on the labs' Big Seminar.
Password: first 6 decimal places of $\pi$ after the decimal point
I will give a broad survey of the recent progress on counting integer points in polytopes of bounded dimension. I will emphasize both computational complexity aspects and applications which range from graph enumeration to Kronecker coefficients. The talk is aimed at a general audience.
